EG Announces Canadian Team

BY Andrew Miesner / January 21, 2009

Back in December, Evil Geniuses announced their American Counter-Strike 1.6 roster and left the new Canadian roster a mystery. Today, EG has announced the latter line-up. The new line-up consists of three new faces along with two long-standing members Nick “chosen” Lalonde and Halston “Tekn1kal” Bellintani. The new faces that will be joining chosen and Tekn1kal to complete the line-up are none other than Matt “adr” Caverly, Dave “heller” Marentette, and Wilson “ryennn” Chen from Sway Gaming. Ian “FuzzyHat” Olson has also joined the EG organization as the Division Manager for EG.ca Counter-Strike. Olson was formerly the Director of Sway Gaming.

We left no stone unturned, and really considered every possible roster combination available to us. We thought long and hard about our options, and came to the conclusion that this group of players was the best fit for EG. 2008 was a great year for Sway Gaming’s Counter-Strike team, and Dave, Matt, and Wilson played a huge role in that success. We think that teaming them up with Nick and Halston, two of our most talented, dedicated players, will help EG to once again raise the standards for Canadian Counter-Strike. – Alex Garfield, Executive Director

The final EG.ca line-up is as follows:

Nick “chosen” Lalonde
Halston “Tekn1kal” Bellintani
Matt “adr” Caverly
Dave “heller” Marentette
Wilson “ryennn” Chen
