Changes to compLexity Rocket League
Just a few weeks ago, the esports world looked towards London to witness an epic conclusion to the RLCS World Championship. The tournament featured close finishes, high-octane action and seemingly endless crowd roars and ovations. Complexity Rocket League was a part of the action, playing their hearts out and taking the bronze medal at the Copperbox Arena. Throughout the season the team fought hard, performed well and once more came close to the coveted trophy. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments, but it is clear a change is required to reach the ultimate goal.
Today we say goodbye to one of the greatest defensive players in the game, Otto “Metsanauris” Kaipiainen. We thank Metsa for his great performance and commitment to the organization as everyone involved is parting ways on good terms. Metsa and his teammates have stuck together through thick and thin, claimed a runner-up and a third place finish at the World Championships, as well as standout performances in other events. We wish him nothing but the best and hope to see him competing in the RLCS World Championship for Season 6.
To fill out the team, we welcome a World Champion in Marius “gReazymeister” Ranheim. After discussions with our players, a change in playstyle and more firepower seemed the way to go. With the incredible skill of Joonas “Mognus” Salo and the driving highlight reel of Linus “al0t” Möllergren, an all-out-attack featuring Greazy’s high risk, high reward play style should be the road to success.
Once the new RLCS season kicks off, the new squad will be seen in action, trying to claim the top spot in Europe RLCS Season 6.
