Complexity GX3 Featured on ESPN’s Fifty/50

BY Andrew Miesner / June 8, 2022

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX, ESPN and W. Studios, featured Complexity’s own all-female VALORANT team, GX3, in a Fifty/50 series special. Commemorating the civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination, ESPN highlights Alice “Alimonstr” Lew, Jennifer “refinnej” Le, Annie “Aniemal” Lee, Madison “Maddiesuun” Mann and Lacey “AKAL4ce” Dilworth in the series episode ‘Girls Got Game’.

In February of 2022, an ESPN film crew anchored by award-winning director Elizabeth Lo and award-winning producer Ceylan Carhoglu filmed our GX3 team bootcamping for the upcoming Game Changers event. The video was captured at the Lenovo Legion Esports Center here in Frisco, Texas, focusing on the team environment and the struggles of women in gaming. The episode takes you behind the curtain of the unique challenges that competitive players face and have faced and how they overcome and deal with the struggles on a daily basis.

We are honored to be the only esports and gaming team to be featured in this documentary series and are thrilled to share their stories with the millions of viewers of the ESPN and Disney family. We are also humbled to send our ladies to the Tribeca Film Festival to be a part of the screening in front of the festival audience, alongside the other documentary pieces of the Fifty/50 series.
