Im looking for a little help with a problem I’ve been having with Vista. I don’t know if these problems are the ‘quirks’ of Vista, or something wrong with my new laptop but they are starting too really step on m nerve. When I’m typing stuff it seems as if the control buton engages at its own freewill so when I click on something like the ‘O’ key it pops up the open screen. Sometimes my keys don’t work, or just do something different, than the next time I try a different result. Anyone who has any idea what could be wrong, and could help me I would be much appreciative. Also, sometimes when I try to use MS word 07 it will just change the format of my page from left, too center, back too left. Shits getting annoying.
Typing this took way longer than it should have...

It might be your keyboard. I haven't heard anything with those problems, possibly the keys are sticky? (either from soda or.. um.. some other substance?)
Try using a friends keyboard or one lying around and see if you still have the same problem.

think is less than a week and is cleaner than anything else i own. I havnt explored all of the internet or do I plan to(on my laptop atlest:P) either, so no... sticky stuff. Its really hit and miss which is the most annoying part. It either works great(like as I type this) or like shit(as I typed the first one.) When I plug my normal keyboard into the laptop sometimes the problems contine. Its been good lately, so I guess I have to pick my battles.

definitely not a vista quirk, if it happens with other keyboards besides your laptop one it might be seriously defective might want to check out your brand of laptop and see if anyone has similar problems over the internet.

I don't know what causes it, but I do know that rebooting fixes it temporarily :P
I don't know man. It takes a while to adapt to laptop keyboards. Especially for us gamers. I bought an Acer AMD Athlon x2, 2GB DDR2, 160GB laptop back in August and just within the last few months slapped XP on it, it runs way faster and the battery life improved a ton.

Well when my desktop was down (because of power supply problem) i had to use a laptop. Now when I went to coL site , this happened to me a lot. The problems where i couldnt see my typing in the box. When I went to type things nothing would show up in the message: part of the blog i wanted to wrote. SO i just kept typing and it showed up after i posted it. Thats when i saw all the errors. The point is its sometimes just is the website is to much for a lap top. Also what type is it.. and how new is it. Because if it is a nice laptop and its already doing this to you then i would ask them to look at it.. also vista is a little tricky sometimes.. you need to go to youtube and look up vista tips and tricks and learn some of the things to make it run better. I did that and i turned off most of the annoyances and it works great for gaming now. LOL as i look back on this.. i see the laptop strikes again aw had to be on it tonight
