Alright, so I have the same problem as a lot of other people. I hear myself talk through my speakers while talking through my mic. Now I know your supposed to go to playback in volume options and mute the Microphone but I don't have the Microphone option!

I've also looked for drivers and they are all up to date.

Thanks in Advanced.

go to the playback options, then go to options properties
then check microphone and hit ok

there is no microphone box to check. I just have volume control, wave, SW synth, CD player, and input monitor.

If you have speakers, you will always get feedback. Are you talking about headphones?

Either way, I shouldn't be able to hear myself talk. I know that you have to mute the mic in playback but the mic option isn't there. That's the problem.

Start>control panel>sounds and audio devices>volume/advanced>Options when the menu pops up then go to properties, There should be a list of options enable microphone then go back to Volume control and then you should be able to mute the mic in playback.

I hope you can follow and get that lol i kinda just wrote it trying to help :D
