I personally hate it. Not a huge fan especially when it comes to gaming with it :(

Nah still too many bugs, runs high processes, and is jsut all around terrible. If your looking for an OS for gaming i would stick with XP for now until Vista and Windows 7 come out with some service packs. I have both Vista and Windows 7 on my desktop and laptop and im not impressed with either of them. Had to partition my HD to run two OS's so i could use XP for gaming.

From an OS standpoint, I love it. I'm currently using it on my laptop and it's solid. However, from a gaming standpoint, it still shows its Vista relation, being buggy and inconsistent.

The OS looks great though :D

The situation was the same for Vista: people automatically assumed that Vista would be eternally set for low gaming performance--however, with all the patches that Vista received with time, the issue was addressed. There is barely any difference between XP and Vista gaming, apart from few compatibility issues.

I assume Vienna will receive the same treatment; however, it is safe to wait and observe what occurs.

From my standpoint, I see little point in switching from Vista (if you have it) to this new OS, apart from the added compatibility with XP applications.

I haven't used Windows 7 since the first beta but I bootcamped it on my Macbook Pro. was running really well. Recently my friend put the RC1 on his laptop and it runs solid. Haven't tried it gaming yet though but some of my friends have it and play tons of games. Seems to be fine for them. I'm putting the RC1 on my friends new comp that I built for him and I'll post my findings after the process is complete.
