Show roundup:
Gravitas punts its 1.6 team and rumors are flying that the entire organization is starting to shut down. Internal politics tears a large gaming media organization in half. The east coast's most prominent LAN center is shuttering up - to expand...but won't be open again until 2011. The boomtown that was the CS scene is feeling more and more rural these days, and this week didn't help. We'll try to follow up on these large developments from this week and what it means for the scene looking forward.
Confirmed to appear on the show is our most regular guest to date, NickFitz, to talk about the news dropped about his gaming center's closing for relocation and his plans for next year and beyond. We hope to catch up with someone from the Gravitas team to get some reactions on that situation as well.
We're also going to grab a look at MLG's recent competition and some signs that point to a critical mass in their growth, and a turning point for the organization. Their inclusion of World of Warcraft competitions has been a phenomenal success, yet their promotion of it wouldn't really suggest it. We discuss details and cook up some theories as to their overall strategy with PC gaming at MLG.
On to discuss his team's recent MLG WoW title, and to offer his thoughts on WoW's place in the competitive gaming scene, will be Michael 'Twixx' Shane of eMazing Gaming.
