coL demo player

I'm thinking about making a movie for myself, so I downloaded the coL demo player. I have a few new demos and a few old ones (quite a few) and I read that the coL demo player plays protocol 47 as well. When I tried to play a demo through coL demo player, it opens up CS and makes a new game and that's it. What am I doing wrong? The demos are in my CSTRIKE. I also tried putting it in my desktop and trying it that way, didn't help =\
It does this with both protocols

Go to Options/Preferences and select your Steam account folder. It defaults to the first folder in Steam/SteamApps, so you probably have multiple Steam accounts and it happened to selected the wrong one.
