virus question HELP

So basically i downloaded a cracked photoshop cs4 the next day i get a virus called _ex-08.exe it uses up so much cpu it slows down your computer like a bitch. I tried many programs couldn't get it off so i tried a basic system restore and i think it is off. My question to you guys is if i downloaded this program and got this virus the next day could it be from that program also can system restores get rid of viruses thx.


Running virus scan now so i will find out.

system restore should help and yes there are usually tons of viruses on peoples computers they're just not active

Viruses can do some funky stuff with System Restore, and I believe some can even allow itself to be inserted into System Restore checkpoints--some can attempt at disabling System Restore.

If you cannot clear a virus in Safe Mode, then System Restore is the next probability. Always remember to disconnect your network when you are scanning or it may prove to be redundant when the virus can re-download itself/etc.

x64 (64 bit) computers are impervious to [most] 32 bit viruses, which are the far majority.
