I would like some thoughts on promod especially from some 1.6 players(im source). I think it will fail epicly and just make the outcome of a new cs doubtful. Your guys thoughts?

I think it will actually help the CS community. It is basically 1.6 which the CS:S players have to get over. But besides that, they took into consideration all the options to try and help the Source players have a smooth transition. All the options can be set for Source, or 1.6. I think once people play it, the skeptics will change their mind.

You literally have to be crazy to want this to fail. Actually, it might make sense if you are a source pubber or a troll.

Promod was made solely for competition. The fact that they removed all the noob guns and stupid items proves that. It will succeed. This is a BETA, and there will always be kinks that need to be worked out, but what game is perfect let's be honest? CS 1.6 still has bugs that need fixing.

All right, after playing CSPromod 1.04 Beta, I can honestly say that I would indeed drop Source to play it competitively. It's a solid release (yes it has it's issues, but they are minor) that will shake the CS World. I can't wait to see that stats on how many people Downloaded the game, how many played, etc.
Anyways, if you haven't already tried it, do so now!

All right ,after playing CSPromod 1.04 Beta, I can honestly say that it is a piece of sh*t, its hype has been all about options and new hud, ect. The gameplay is comeplete crap. Source players who are good and like the game will not change and i think the same for 1.6 players.

After playing a few ESEA pugs I can tell you this game has a promising competitive future. Both 1.6 and source players finally found common ground in a game that features the best of both worlds. There was no flaming or hating and it was good to see the community finally reunited. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait for this game to grow.

Surprisingly, i actually REALLY like it. Its got most of its shit worked out at least. Now im not spawing inside the level. And i feel really optimistic for it. Its exactly what source was suppose to be. Only thing i noticed off the bat was that the people left indicator was pretty slow. but im sure its nothing that can't be fixed with a few tweaks. anyway, i really hope csp succeeds.

are you fucking retarded? im sorry, but you honestly have no idea what you are talking about and have obviously played this game for a short period of time. and your first post saying you can see this game being fun pubbing just proves my point even more. this game is absolutely going to succeed after todays success. 1.6 and source players like others have said finally have a common ground... this BETA is amazing.

Game needs some tweaking still. Especially with movement/sound but overall it was a good experience. Game looks 100% better than source. Seems to have lost that comic book feel. Just after about 2 minutes of playing it I could tell this game has potential to replace 1.6 and it honestly felt good. Reg was amazing compared to the average 1.6 esea server. So if they can fix what they need to fix I'll quit 1.6 to play promod. That is if there is a competitive backing for it.

I definitely enjoyed the game. It is, finally, what it was supposed to be. The deagle may be a bit overpowered (or my aim is just sick), but this is all game-play stuff that would normally go unnoticed without the community to play it, so that's fine with me. I saw no immediate glitches that would effect the game. Can't help but support this.

I think it's your aim. :)
Also, here's a video of CSP 1.05's model animation.

Well well well. This evening when i got my first chance to play an extended amount of time, i have to say i was EXTREMELY impressed. One of the official beta testers, Chuck64, joined the server that i was playing in and awnsered some of our questions. For the first time i saw some avid 1.6 players (myself being one of them) and source players unite to discuss the game without any flaming or bad mouthing of each others games. We talked about some of the new features, and Chuck64 pointed out a very cool new feature, net_graph 4. We had a very good discussion about the game mechanics and the feel. As well as some of the issues we had with it. On top of all this, everyone had alot of fun playing. I think this goes to show that what the developers of CSP were trying to do, may actually work. This of course being somthing that 1.6 players and source players could both play and have fun with. I also see this game having an UNREAL competitive future..
+1 for CSP. I am a fan.

:cheers2:
Just got done playing an hour in csp. It feels like a new game almost (except that you know most of the maps) I like the features and options that you are able to change around like the whole switch knife hand along with quake(Pretty awesome). If course I had to play with a complete source guy that was completely complaning about the game. The nades are a little bit weird but good enough just for a little tweak. I believe that the models are a little to high? COrrect me if I am wrong... But over all CSP > Source and I've played source since ~06 on and off.
All in favor in promod anyone? I'd really like to hear what the coL team thinks about the game, as a matter as fact, any pro team that would comment on this game would be awesome. So in other words, TELL US NAO! :D

i've seen comments from a few top players and most say pretty much the same thing, they like the game for the most part however it feels a bit to much like source with the movement, sound, models, etc..
i personally love the game
YES!!! This game is already amazing and its a beta, I'm so glad that its *fail* stigma didn't stick with it and people gave it another chance.. Also, I'm very pleased that ESEA is backing the game already. Very excited for the future of CS and this branch of it. Thank you promod dev team! We <3 CS!

It's like he said about me if you guys ever see me in a server I'm always there to help out I mostly play in the divo servers but you can sometimes find me in the other servers.
I just wanted to help out as much as I can with the game stuff since i am a beta tester but there is only so much i can say on what is going on. The one good thing about this beta is us beta testers can finally play with other people after all the hard work we put in lol...

a lot of 1.6 pros have complained about gameplay and models, gameplay is very iffy at this point and source models are very different than 1.6, such as being able to see over regular boxes and recoil is very off. I won't switch because i like source but for 1.6 players who are actually good won't switch at this point.

Its day two of open beta. Of course people aren't going to drop their games at this point.
All this game really needs now is some random shit scattered about the maps that has no value or purpose at all.

Yeah guys really try and remember that its in Beta lol. Alot of those things are going to be changed im sure. Especially the whole "Seeing over boxes thing" and the overall feel of the game. Right now i have to agree that it does feel a little to much like source. But thats what Beta is for lol. To find out what people like/dislike and change things accordingly..

I'm sure they have addressed these issues and plan on fixing them. Have some faith in the game, it's only beta. I remember when source first came out how terrible it was... now look at it. Lots of people play it.

all they really need to do is fix the models and the movement speed(which should be tied together) and everything should be fine otherwise.

Which is exactly what they are going to do along with many other recoil, nade, and HUD tweaks. They're redoing the old models posted in the Media Section of their website, but they're well on their way to being finished with the Animations for them!

Either way, every CS/CSS player should be supporting this because this is our future.

Hopefully 1.05 will be a big step forward to more of a 1.6 feel to it.
I agree with Variables in that the movement feels very weird/off to me. It just feels a lot slower and less responsive then what it's suppose to feel like.
CSP is certainly not done yet, but I already like a lot about it. I keep telling myself it is only going to get better and better in time. Just got to be more patient.

If you fall for one of these at best you will lose thousands of dollars; at worst you will lose your life. These usually start with an email from a bank official or the relative of a recently deceased African president or a government minister informing you that they have new york escort (http://www.asianluxuryescort.com) access to millions of dollars but need your help to get the money out of the country. The end result is that when the deal is threatened you will new york asian escort (http://www.asianluxuryescort.com) be asked for money to secure the release of the funds. Do not new york escorts (http://www.asianluxuryescort.com) under any circumstances reply to these letters, people have been murdered while following up with these scams.PhishingPhishing scams can be very elaborate, scammers send out emails to millions of internet addresses purporting to be from a financial institution, and requiring you to log in and new york asian escorts (http://www.asianluxuryescort.com) confirm your details.
