Does anyone know a good mousepad for a G500 that won't skip and have negative accel? I heard the Razer Goliathus Speed and the Puretrak Talent are the optimal choices. Are there any other options out there?

Steelseries pads are quite the choice when coming to a good mouse imo...ever since they got rid of icemat, things got a good change with steelseries
There was nothing wrong with Icemat.
I still use my Icemat and Siberia's and I will probably buy another Icemat when this one breaks.

Ah, I forgot to mention that I prefer cloth pads. I currently have a Steel Series QcK along with a MX518. I'm asking because I'm considering upgrading to a G500.

Try the Razer Goliathus Control editions. There's 3 sizes, so look at what you pick. I had one of them, and it was an excellent mousepad. Sad that it got too small.

Is there a noticeable difference between the control and speed editions?

yes, the control is more grainy and slower..... the speed is more slick and has less friction, i use the speed edition with the G500.
