I am currently in search of a FPS thats popular E-Sports wise. I know counter-strike is kinda up there, but from what I have seen the only two known leagues are Cevo and ESEA. How's COD doing? I haven't been able to find any leagues or what is going to be the bigger game between MW/MW2/BO. Any ideas?

Well, if Call of Duty is your only interest, then you are out of luck. Call of Duty pretty much will never be a successful esport, as the company does not try to promote it as one, as well they come out with a new game every year. There is no point for it to be an esport.

I know about ESEA. I mentioned that. I'm not choosing only CoD. I'm just giving it as an idea. Are there any others that are really prominent?

Alright, my apologies for taking the assumption that you were only looking for Call of Duty.
Your best options for FPS esports, would be:

Counter Strike 1.6
Team Fortress 2
Counter-Strike:Source
Quake Live

Those are the only real major ones that are still playing played.

don't forget halo, if you're a console gamer. Also if Gears 3 comes out (if you are okay with over the shoulder shooters), it is hugely competitive for consoles.
