Look at the performance graphs -it should power games easily, on max, for up to 1650x1080. Best budget card you can buy at the moment. Just make sure you have a true 500W PSU, you don't want to go borderline.

My friend has a 4850, and it runs Crysis at High with 50~60FPS.. But it lags on 1.6 ;)
This is why I don't like ATI...
Oh, and he stopped mapping for HL engine 'coz ATI can't handle Valve Hammer's 3D View. :/

MIR's FTL. I have first hand experience with both ATI and NVIDIA cards, I would give the edge to NVIDIA because ATI's drivers isn't as good as NVIDIA's. Performance wise, they're neck and neck depending on which cards you're comparing - just depends on your budget I guess. Also, only XFX offers lifetime mod friendly warranty for ATI cards while EVGA and XFX (not sure about BFG) offers lifetime mod friendly warranty for NVIDIA cards.
