Hey i have a MX518 and I've never once had a problem with it but recently it has been dying on me. I have it connected to my USB port in my Logitech G15 keyboard and every now and then it will die and make the beep sound like when you disconnect a USB cord. It goes back on after about two seconds, the mouse drivers aren't installed. I was just wondering if anybody has had this problem before or if anybody knows a solution.
edit: I also believe that my G15 keyboard is dying. The LED lights don't turn off but the buttons don't work.

I have the solution :D
YOUR MOUSE IS DEAD! It a hardware issue and you cannot fix it. Just call logitech and they will ask you for the P/N and some other number at the back of your mouse. If you have had the mouse for more than 2 years, lie to them when they ask you how long you have had it. Say, 8 months or so. They will put you on hold, come back, ask for your shipping address and send you a new mouse within 5 days ;) This same thing happened to me and my friend told me to just call... I did, and I got a new mouse within a week.. I can't help you with your G15 though, goodluck with that!

yea =/ that sucks
I have been asking around for people with mx518 if they use it anymore... if not, I get the # and there you have it.. a brand new mouse!

update: i switched USB ports and it hasn't been acting up yet. I found out what the issue was, when i would move my mouse fast it would die.

lol that sucks =/ , but yeah it might've just been your g15 keyboard. You might want to try calling anyways if you have anymore problems, sometimes they make exceptions.
