Hey again everyone. awakeN here with a recap of my time at MLG Raleigh this past weekend, my second major live event:
Raleigh was a bit different when it came to logistics mainly due to the fact that my first semester at the University of Tennessee started only two days before MLG Raleigh. Iím still working on changing my sleep schedule to where my 8:00 classes donít kick my ass, so on Friday morning I woke up at 6:30 after two, maybe three hours of sleep. Business Software
First off, I have been around the competitive gaming scene for a good 7-8 years now and MLG Columbus was the 1st big event I've attended. So much like CatZ's blog about the Winter Arena, here we go:
At about 8.15am, I hop into arAndyOnyate's van with Jake "vVv Virulent" and Kevin (Both University of Tennessee-Knoxville students) and begin the trek to Columbus, an expected 6-hour drive. Before this, I had only met Matt "AndyOnyate" and Kevin once
Tomorrow morning, I am leaving for MLG Anaheim! Bah!
I do not feel prepared in the least to leave, but I thankfully have the rest of the night to get things done. When has anyone been prepared for a trip, though, really? It just seems to be one of those things where you have a long pre-trip to-do list that you work on until your departure time, and if there are things that do not get finished, thatís just too bad. Of course, there are things on my to-do list that absolutely must get
Blizzard has been gracious enough to award me a Starcraft 2 Beta Key and I want to share the experience with all of you.
Personally, I was a huge Starcraft/Brood War junkie back in the day and I have to say that waiting this long to see SC2 has been almost unbearable. However, the wait seems to have been worth it after first glance.
