I tried getting back into 1.6 the past month or so Source has scrubbified me pretty hard. I can shoot alright but everything else is balls.

Apparently they paid out the winners from the first tournament so I think there is/was legitimacy in the league.

Everything does seem kinda sketch thought with that league. On the other hand...

You know the situation is dire when a stable team like MYM suddenly disbands two squads like that.. Especially considering those two teams have been very successful in tournaments.

So new players should just not bother with CS because it's been out for so long and they have no chance at going pro?

I don't see how that's an issue.

Quake Live has a lot of promise, and it honestly took me < 10 minutes to get going in the beta. Would have been less on a faster connection.

I'm amazed by this news... Can't say I know the details of how it all went down, but I would've thought the coL players would have stuck with Lake considering all he's done for them.. Kind of a...
