Facepalm? EG asked to use Reckful and after talking to our WoW players and analyzing the situation we declined. You act like we were under some type of obligation to allow EG to use our players. In the past we've 'loaned' players (like fRoD to Mexico with 3D) but in this instance we chose not to.

Well it sure is funny to hear Garfield's secretary on the matter of a player loan. While Scoots wasn't involved in the process at all, I am glad he feels empowered to the point of making judgments. I guess this is why you don't recruit management based off the loudest forum voice? To elaborate, I actually like Garfield and Matt Marcou as people and I feel they handle themselves well as managers. Scoots? I like Scoots, good guy in person, however online he seems to have a very different persona. Here is a tip for the new guy, since he has only been at this for a couple of weeks: when your team is fortunate enough to do well, it's not usually in good taste to incessantly brag about it on forums/mIRC/Wheat's radio show. This is why you don't see any top international managers doing it.
Congratulations to Fnatic/EG they did well this tournament. For him to say we, or specifically I, don%u2019t know anything about the wow scene is a joke. There is a reason Complexity has the #1 and #2 wow teams in the country (based of off MLG finals results), beyond our fantastic player base. It is because we have kept in touch with the scene and had our ear to the ground. Also, I do know my players, specifically Reckful very well as I have actually stayed at his apartment before (and consider him a friend).
The fact is EG, to my recollection, has never beaten Complexity with their actual lineup. Reckful is one of the greatest strategists in wow and obviously their strategies aren't exactly top notch in most situations. Thus I made a judgment call that with them in coL.Black's group, Reckful would be a huge asset to them and put our team at risk. If this was a WCG style tournament, sure, we would let them use Reckful. We would even seriously consider it if they weren't in our group. The fact of the matter is, our wow players are statistically better and by letting them use one, poses a greater threat to a Complexity squad. What kind of sane manager would increase the direct chances of his squad getting knocked out? As if EG as a whole was heralded for their sportsmanship during the competition? They proved that you make the choices you make in order to increase your odds of success. Plain and simple. Except this was not a computer error, it was a well thought out choice with our teams success in mind (giving them ample time to prepare with a new player).
Complexity Red was actually contacted to accept the Fnatic invite at the tournament. The time frame did not allow us to send a second wow team. My decision was IN NO WAY affected by any hopes of them not coming. This is something I explained clearly to Garfield on the phone, but Scoots is a "professional" who gets his info "from the grape vine", a reliable source if I do say so myself! Take the knife out of everyone's back? Scoots what does that even mean? I didn't talk crap about EG or their wow team and my players will confirm that. I also have a reputation of being a very straight forward guy and not "back stabbing" if you will. I am pretty sure Bass and Lake would not have wanted to partner with me if I was widely known as some two faced POS. Get your facts straight Scott and control your accusations. Before someone writes something along the lines of "lol you raged?", I normally don't respond to forum/mIRC banter. However in this case enough is enough and this is not the first comments he has made since Germany. Unfortunately, some people mistakenly assume Scott is an integral part of these conversations and has some SUPER inside knowledge. That's basically it, sorry for the novel and keep rocking coL fans, you guys are truly a league above the rest ...
For everyone messaging me about this, the truth is out there!

why do managers bicker at each other over forums/comments/irc/blogs/video chat/etc. how is this at all considered professional. Leave your comments to your self, or keep them in private.
