Today, The Syndicate regretfully announces that we have decided to release our Counter-Strike squad effective immediately.
Over the past year the squad has been a top contender in the North American scene placing 1st and 2nd at ESEA finals and 3rd at Dreamhack. However, recent performances, dedication and a lack of involvement and interaction with the coL Community have lead to this decision.
“It’s no secret that we’ve struggled to find a consistent roster over the past 12 months,” said Jason Lake, CEO of compLexity Gaming. “Despite the fact that we experienced some success, internal issues always seemed to derail the squad’s momentum. All of the players are great people who are very skilled at the game, but the championship passion and chemistry that defines the compLexity name has eluded us. We are currently evaluating the scene and are considering both American and European options to replace the current roster. We wish the players the very best with everything, both in and out of game.”
“It's been a pleasure getting to know the guys over the past year,” said Alex Conroy, the organization’s CDO. “They all possess the raw talent required to win in this game. Unfortunately, we feel there are some issues outside of pure talent that will prevent this squad from reaching the top podium on the international scene. Our fans have come to expect the best from compLexity and it has always been our solemn goal to deliver on that expectation. We look forward to presenting a squad of compLexity pedigree in and out of game. Good luck to all of the players, they are all fantastic individuals in their own right."
We’d like to thank all the players who have contributed to coL.cs over the past year. It is our intention to announce a new squad sooner rather than later, so stay tuned.

I actually applaud Lake and Jax on doing this. Times are different now, sponsorships come limited and money is short. Organizations pay to have the best teams under their name. I say coL focus on a European team because America doesn't really have the talent or the acceptability that Europe has. Keep it going coL, true fans will follow the organization, especially ones that focus on the community as much as you do. coL for life Jason and Alex, lets rock the gaming community!

I'm a little shocked that the entire roster would be dismissed, but I guess it's been far too long since the old roster did anything.
Best of luck to the players! And CompLexity, bring home a good team, but please keep it American

Although I think they are a very talented group of players, I fully understand this decision and believe that it has been justified. Hopefully compLexity can find a replacement which represents the compLexity brand in a better fashion soon. I wish you good luck in the mean time.

Wow shocked.. I really don't see who you can replace these guys with to be honest. In NA, you won't find much better in my opinion. Drew and Impulsive are very good players same with the others. Hopefully they find a good organization. Its a good and bad decision, I'm assuming you guys have a team already in mind because it would be stupid to release this current roster because I can't think of any other better team other than EG in NA.

Yeah there really is no other talent in the US that can compete with EG. My guess is they would have to go euro. I'm kind of concerned that the euros won't interact with the fans as much as previous teams have, because that's a big part of what makes this organization an enjoyable experience. So in that regard, I hope that whatever team they pick up will be willing to do that much for their fans.
