Complexity Gaming Sells Naniwa Contract to Quantic Gaming

Today Complexity Gaming and Quantic Gaming are announcing that the professional gamer contract of Johan "Naniwa" Lucchesi has been sold, effective immediately.

"We approached Quantic Gaming and were pleased to find that they were interested in purchasing the contract rights to Naniwa," said Jason Lake, Founder and CEO of Complexity Gaming. "He is an amazing talent but we have come to discover that he does not share the core values of compLexity and felt it was best for both parties to part ways. We wish him the very best in his gaming career. We will be seeking another top contender to fill his spot in the near future."

Mark Ferraz, Founder and CEO of Quantic Gaming, provided the following statement regarding the acquisition, “We’ve made a commitment to invest in StarCraft 2, in order to deliver the most memorable and engaging experiences for both fans and partners,” commented Mark Ferraz, CEO of Quantic Gaming, “Acquiring NaNiWa aligns with our revised approach nicely. We expect our ‘Power-Protoss-Duo’ to deliver at the highest and most entertaining level. I warmly welcome Johan to the team.”

As a CoL and SC2 fan I understand. Sometimes you just gotta stick with the core values even if the players are getting fantastic results. Good luck to Naniwa in his future endeavors. I'll still be cheering.

Trust me.. we are not in the business of selling off proven winners. This was the last option but a necessary option.

I've very happy to see that Complexity has gotten rid of this guy. Good player or not, his attitude towards players and tournaments is inexcusable. Props to you guys for sticking to your values despite losing an valuable asset. It takes a good management team to understand that players come and go but brand integrity and reputation must be upheld.

I wasn't that big of a fan before but I signed up just to let you guys know this. Keep strong!

Props for staying true to the compLexity values. Sad to see a strong player out of the team though. I imagine you have your sights on another top player though, yeah Lake?

Wow... shocking move. Sucks to see him leave compLexity. No doubt we'll see him replaced with a big name though. compLexity knows how to do it, have some faith.

he didnt leave, coL gave him the boot because hes not ''professional''. Are you fucking serious? professional is winning tournaments, not losing in the first couple rounds of the OPEN bracket (drewbie, catz, whoever else coL has playing) and then acting like a good boy. Col just gave up their one and only shot of being back at the top of esports. so while naniwa gets kicked off for calling nestea an idiot (rightfully so), catz and chad losesinopenbracket jones blow of racists jokes while losing low masters games on stream get paid. gg coL never seeing this site again.

from what i heard col wanted him to get more viewers than getting higher places in tournaments and nani didnt care about amount of viewers when hes on the stream and was focused on winning/getting highest place possible.
