cyx Killed in Car Accident

Antonio “cyx” Daniloski was one of the mousesports players who reportedly missed their flight to Shanghai for the Intel Extreme Masters tournament. On the drive back from the airport, Daniloski had a tire failure, resulting in an accident that claimed his life.

QuakeCon Registration Open

Today QuakeCon announced their tournament lineup. QuakeCon will take place at the Hilton Anatole from August 12-15th. There will be over $50,000 in prize money.

The top players will be competing in the Intel QUAKE LIVE Masters Championship and theQUAKE LIVE Capture

Recently on Ars Technica they reported that Valve has admitted to accidentally banning over 12,000 CoD:MW2 players from the game due to an erroneous detection by the Steam software. According to Valve, the bans occured over a span of two weeks during which the disk image of the game was being updated.

When compLexity released their whole Counter-Strike 1.6 team on March 18th, 2010 - Andrew 'Irukandji' Timmerman was left without a team. This is because two of his teammates were chosen for the next compLexity roster which was announced later that same month while Drew remained visibly absent.

EA Sports has announced the official soundtrack for Madden 2011. This year's soundtrack will feature 23 songs including seven NFL Team fight songs.

The term ‘Madden Music’ has come to mean music that matches the intensity of the video game.

MLG Raleigh Invited Teams

The 2010 MLG PC Circuit will be making its second stop of the season in Raleigh, North Carolina from August 27-29th.

There will be a total of sixteen teams in competition. Twelve of those teams have been invited and four of those twelve will be making the trip from across the pond.

Registration for the remaining four slots opens on July 29th at 7:00pm EST.
